Aurel Tar is born in 1973 in Sebels Alba, Romania. After graduating from the Cluj Napoca Art High School he received a degree in painting from the Academy of Visual Arts "Ioan Andreescu' in Cluj in 1997.

Aurel has held national and international group and solo exhibitions.

His works has been presented in Romania, Poland, France, Germany, Korea and Kenia. His works are in private collections in Europe, North-America and Asia.
You may ask yourself or you may ask me: 'Why did you choose to paint a diversity of subjects within the same project? How can you justify the presentation of an antique image next to a classic one, or super-dimensional details of housewares objects next to 'appetising' boots of a lady straddled across a motorcycle, or graffiti sequences next to the well-known works of art, or bizarre appearances of ethnographic elements, and the last but not the list, more or less ironical appearance of the painted 'stickers'.

Plugs, connection, electricity, sticker…envelope, the morning mail, internet, matrix, screens, car, road, centre, airport, giraffes, hippo, Kenya, Korea, German friends, customers, Liechtenstein & Ingres, bookshop, Louvre, the three graces, Montpellier, graffiti, personage with bag, Meduza Ulpiana, auto salon, beautiful boots, the EGG hat, the motorcycle, bolid, formula1, rugby, sport,TV, radio, Rolling Stones, danger of explosion risk, cutter.

This is the rhythm of a day, of a month, of an year or of more years, 'alternative continuous'. We visit many concepts, ideas and my artwork reflects this state of a permanent visitation, viewing. Speaking of viewing, I will ask you to view my artistic message through the matrix structure, inspired by the pointilism structure of gigantic advertising boards. This may be my answer...
