About Art Senzafine
Biography Katja van der Klauw, founder of Art Senzafine
Katja van der Klauw is born in Salzgitter, Germany. She  became interested in art while living in Bucharest, Romania from 1999 until 2003. During this period she met many Romanian painters and also started painting herself.

When she moved to Seoul, Korea in 2003 a friend admired the portraits of her children Her friend asked if the artist, Aurel Tar, could also make a portrait of her daughter. Soon others started asking if such portraits could be made of their loved ones too.

After successfully promoting the work of Aurel Tar, she decided to promote the work of more Romanian artists. Under the name Art Senzafine, meaning 'unlimited art' she set up a virtual gallery and started to organize exhibitions.

Today she works with many Romanian painters and has a wide range of customers in many countries including Korea, Japan and Germany.

Art Senzafine donates part of its earnings to charity. Katja got in touch with a courageous blind woman who set up a school for blind children in Tibet. She is also German and runs an organization called 'Braille Without Borders'. She has written two books and recently made a documentary.

Katja lives in Tokyo, Japan and is married with two children.
"The great thing about my work is that I have a great collection, satisfied customers, and through this I am supporting people in two developing countries."
